Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. He is the son of Manny James, along with Patty James of mixed race. He has a Nigerian father and a Caucasian mom. In the year 2010, James completed his studies at Sanderson High School. Then the following year, he attended Wake Forest University in order to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sciences in Economics. James gained fame when the show The Bachelorette as a reality TV celebrity. James was chosen in the year 2020 to play the 25th season bachelor of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show premiered 2021. James is a great fit for the job as he's tall, handsome and funny. Rachael Krukconnell turned into his love interest at the end of season. In the season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, James competed alongside the famous dancer Arnold. James as well as Arnold took 12th place.
